Our journey into beard and skin care products began over 10 years ago, somewhat unexpectedly. My father was working a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) job and wanted to grow a beard to avoid the hassle of daily shaving. However, the boss (mum), wasn't too keen on the idea of him returning with a rough and unruly beard. At the time I was still serving in the military, so I was yet to experience the pleasure of rocking a full luscious beard. The next time he came home, she made up a special, homemade beard oil blend to take back with him. The next day... full beard… kidding. But he was honestly surprised when his beard started growing faster and looking better than ever! Some of his mates at work noticed the change and after a bit of persuasion, his loving wife gave in and made some for them to try. Surprise, surprise... they loved it! A few of them had beard growing competitions, as you do. Their families and friends noticed and absolutely loved the improvements as well.

In 2019 I separated from the military and began my quest to grow a worthy beard! I tried all sorts of oils, creams, and balms before jumping on the homemade beard oil and balm bandwagon. It didn’t take long to see and feel a huge change in the overall health and thickness of my beard. My skin wasn’t irritated, the beardruff was gone in 3 days, my beard felt lighter, the smell wasn’t overpowering, it didn’t have that synthetic feel and smell that a lot of other products do… It was perfect!

A few months later, we visited our local barber who immediately noticed the difference, not only praising the oil’s effects on our beards, but how gentle it was on the grooming tools, and asked immediately if we could spare any for her clients. The feedback was incredible and at that point we hadn't really considered commercial production. However, it soon became clear that there was a growing demand for quality beard oil products like ours and we were convinced it was time to share our blend with the world.
